December 26-30, 2005: Winter Sports Extravaganza in the Adirondaks, NY
Mon, Dec 26: Snowshoeing Rooster Comb
       Dec 27        Dec 28        Dec 29        Dec 30

With only minor frustrations from the weather, eight people participated in what is bound to be the biggest, most varied event of the season (for me, anyway).

Several hours before sunrise on Dec 26, Brandon piled into his Jeep Liberty and slumped up to Allentown, where he met me, Karthik, and Ken. Driving through crappy weather our whole ride up, we bailed on our original plan of ice climbing for day 1, and settled instead for a 4-hour hike/snowshoe up Rooster's Comb, near Keene Valley, NY. Brandon lost his glove (and subsequesntly found it), and I nearly took us off-route for awhile, but it was nothing a little craziness and some headlamps couldn't fix...

After checking into the Brookside Motor Lodge, we met our partners in kryme for Tue, Todd and Betsy, at the Lake Placid Brewpub.

End Dec 26          on to Dec 27          skip to Dec 28          leap to Dec 29          soar to Dec 30
